Custom Woocommerce Development
Woocommerce development is one of the most common requests we get. Sometimes it is simply add some custom billing fields or order email configurations. At other times we are creating third party system integrations require secure data transfers and the dynamic product and pricing creation.

Third Party WordPress Integrations
Over the years we have created a number of custom plugins that integrate with third party software such as booking systems, education and training platforms, and government data systems.
A recent example of a third party, Woocommerce integration was querying the Australian Government ABN Lookup service and applying the returned data to verify customer data fields.
Custom WordPress Plugin Development
We absolutely love a challenge, and we love the learning opportunities that come with them. One particular type of build that Blue Kelpie have refined is a directory style website. With some relatively simple user populated data objects we are able to create parametric search functions to allow site visitors to find local businesses providing a specific type of service.
Custom WordPress development is just one of the things that Blue Kelpie do but it is almost certainly one of our favourites! We love spending time writing code and finding ways to do things better each time we do. Performance, performance, performance!
One thing that everyone loves is a website that loads fast, our clients, their customers and Google too!
We spend a lot of time looking at the things that make a site slow. On our server we run New Relic’s Application Performance Monitor tool. This is where we get to get super nerdy! We study every aspect of a website’s performance down to the individual PHP functions and mySQL queries to find out where things start to slow down. We can even set alerts to let us know when your site starts to drop down below a specific performance benchmark.
