Garpen

The Garpen website is a Woocommerce solution with a range of customisations and performance optimisations that delivers an elegant customer experience. Using Facet WP we created a filtering system where customers are able to find exactly the right tool for the job, whether it is a water pump, pressure washer or a diesel generator.

The jewel in the crown from a development perspective is the custom Garpen Shipping plugin. This plugin works with a complex shipping rate calculator that we distilled down into a pricing matrix for product weight/volume to forty shipping zones across Australia. An additional feature is the shipping rate estimator that displays on individual product pages. This allows prospective customers to see what it will cost to have this particular product delivered to their postcode.

The plugin was built with extensibility in mind so that the addition of a second warehouse in Queensland meant we just had to refactor the pricing matrix and they were good to go.

The new website has brought a massive increase in online sales and continues to go grow month to month. Blue Kelpie continue to work with the team at Garpen who are another five star customer.
