The Senator’s office needed a site that could hold a lot of moving parts: her personal story and values, policy positions, senate inquiry work and voting record, media coverage, event listings and a growing library of speech videos. It also had to plug into tools the office already relied on for outreach and voter engagement.

A Community-Facing Website for WA Senator Fatima Payman
Blue Kelpie designed and built the official website for Senator Fatima Payman, giving her office a platform to share her story, her policy positions and her work in the Senate with Western Australian voters.
The Challenge
What We Built
- A WordPress website using our theme and plugin scaffold, built entirely in-house. No page builder or off-the-shelf theme
- A filterable video library of the Senator’s speeches
- A resources hub for newsletters, policy documents and downloads
- A record of senate motions and how the Senator voted on them
- An events page for community engagement
- A media page archiving press coverage
- Integration with Kit for newsletter sign-ups
- Integration with VoterID for voter registration
The Outcome
The result is a fast, easy-to-manage website that gives the Senator’s office full control over a growing library of policy, media and community content, without depending on third-party themes, plugins or page builders. Delivering a site for a sitting Senator meant working to a higher bar: content had to be accurate, accessible and reliable from day one.
