The Voodoo Lounge

The Voodoo Lounge website has strong, vibrant images and an overall aesthetic that is well matched to the raunchier side of life. Building this site we sought ways to add some subtle ‘showbiz’ touches to elevate the site. The key was to not make these flourishes features but to draw the user’s eye to certain elements on the page. The buttons have a subtle animation and the Dolls page has a bokeh lighting effect behind any of the women who are working this current week.

The carousels display key information on the site dynamically pulling content from the database. The homepage hero section shuffles the images each week to allow for a rotation of the women. The events link to various off site pages for the sale of tickets.

Another key feature is the addition of a Mux video streamer. We created three blocks that each pull from an external data source (mux.com) allowing for ease of use for the client to add videos to events, or the VoodooTV page. Using a third party streaming service means faster delivery of content that is not branded by YouTube.
